Understanding How to Create Change

Well! It’s here, 2023 and I am guessing you are like millions of other people. You have contemplated creating a list of New Years Resolutions or you have made at least some attempt at thinking about creating change in your life. 

It’s such a wonderful thing to do. To want to create change in your life! You may even know that what you have been doing for the past year or even longer hasn’t worked for you as well as it used to or well at all. So you are now putting the wheels in motion to move forward and to create that change for yourself and your life. 

Here is where we often lose our momentum. We might not have a clear picture of what it is that we need to change to create that difference in our lives. So I would encourage you to sit in quiet contemplation and to really ask yourself some deep questions. What do I want? What will truly make me feel better, more confident, more motivated etc…? When I achieve said thing how will I know? How will this impact my life? How will this impact my relationships? How will this impact my health? When this change takes place, will it be as good as I hope it will be? Meaning, perhaps that you might want to manage your expectations. It’s not a bad idea to shoot for the stars, but if we don’t have the concept really clear in our mind on what we want to change, the likelihood that it will turn out as we desire will be less probable. So keep your ideas at a more realistic and achievable level so you are not discouraged. 

 

The five brain wave states are Gamma, Beta, Alpha, Theta, and Delta.

Once you have your list of desired change or outcomes figured out, then you will have to look at ways to create that change. For instance, if you want to be in better shape physically, you of course would need to watch your diet, and begin to become more active. So you, might need to set up an appointment with your doctor or a nutritionist to help you understand what a healthier way of eating might look like. Then you would want to beging to find a work out that you like or some other kind of physical activity that you know you would be likely to stick with. That way you will be setting yourself up for success.

Through hypnosis, we can go deep into the subconscious mind.

The next thing you may want to consider to help yourself be successful in these changes, is to find someone who will hold you accountable. Accountability is so very important, especially on those very emotionally challenging days. We know when we feel bad about something, we often find ways to distract ourselves, by eating, drinking, or binge watching Netflix. None of those are bad things in and of themselves, but when they become the go to for every time we face challenging emotions then they become a bad habit. If you have someone to reach out to in those moments of discourse, you will be way more successful at avoiding falling back on old behaviours which you are trying to change. 

Lastly, there is one more thing to consider. We often, don’t know why we have bad habits in the first place. Meaning, they just sort of showed up one day and before we knew it they became a full blown coping mechanism in our life. So, in order to create lasting change, you need to be able to do some work in the sub conscious part of your mind, where belief systems, habits and conditioned responses come from. Through Hypnosis, you can access that part of your mind and get in touch with the “WHY” of why you do what you do that is not helping or benefitting you in your life. When you access this part of your brain, you are taking the time to look at your old ways of thinking and behaving.
